Leratong City Shopping Center
Leratong City Shopping Centre is a large-scale shopping and lifestyle center project that brings together retail, food and beverage, entertainment, and office functions. Leratong City Shopping Centre is a regional mall developed within the borders of Mogale City, Kagiso/Leratong region, Gauteng province. The project forms the core of a broader smart city / nodal mixed-use development called “Leratong City”: a total of ~15,000 housing units, commercial office spaces, government service buildings, a private hospital, educational facilities, parks, and transportation hubs are planned together with the mall.

The center features a triple-anchor structure with chains like Shoprite, Pick n Pay, and SuperSpar, and includes more than 100 stores, a full banking area, fashion, fast fashion, beauty & personal care (Clicks, Dis-Chem, etc.), along with a large indoor-outdoor dining and entertainment area. With wide screens, children’s play areas, and public spaces designed for weekend markets, it is positioned not just as a shopping point but as a community-oriented meeting place for Kagiso and its surroundings.

Leratong City is developed by McCormick Property Development in partnership with Mogale City Municipality, Gauteng Provincial Government, and Trendvill; the project specifically aims to transform a formerly under-invested mining/township area into a high-density, mixed-use urban node and create new opportunities for local employment and SMEs.
